Our clients based in Blackburn have an opportunity for a Warehouse / Logistical Administrator to cover a period of 10 months for maternity cover to provide administrative support as directed members of the Warehouse Management Team ensuring the continuous improvement in the administrative processes and optimising performance.

The duties will include:

To work collaboratively with the warehouse team and support the implemented strategies to ensure targets are met

To support the Logistics Administration Controller with the day to day logistical administration tasks and the data collection and retrieval as required

Control information related to Bonded Warehouse operation

To work collaboratively with the team to assist with the corrective actions needed and where possible ensure continuous improvement in processes.

To assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required

To share good practice and ideas

To liaise and arrange meetings as required and to attend meetings and take minutes

Ensure adherence at all times to the requirements of the Data Protection Act

Personal/Professional development

The post holder will participate in any training activity implemented by the Company as part of this employment, such activity to include:

Participation in an annual performance review (appraisal), including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own development activity

Taking responsibility for own development and learning by following through objectives set at appraisal

Ensure attendance at identified training events

Attendance at meetings

Support the induction and training of new members of staff in warehouse procedures


The post holder will strive to maintain quality within the company by:

Alerting other team members to issues of quality and risk

Assessing own performance and taking accountability for own actions, either directly or under supervision

Contribute to the effectiveness of the team by reflecting on own and teams activities and making suggestions on ways to improve and enhance the team's performance
