Experienced Temporary Marketing Manager required for a maternity cover in a highly regarded mixed veterinary practice, covering 4 Practices in and around Preston.

The role will include:

the full mix of marketing activity across the practice, both digital and print.

Someone with 'in-house' experience, as opposed to agency experience.

Whilst based at the Goosnargh main office, you will also support and coordinate activities at our surgeries in Fulwood (2) and Kirkham. The main focus of the role is existing client retention, identification and engagement with new prospects, increased visibility of the brand and it's expertise and services provided by the group\'?s across its 3 main divisions.

The successful applicant will be involved in and have responsibility for driving:
Ongoing activities from the marketing plan: web, social media, events, printed literature.
Maintaining and building upon the recent new website
Analytical reporting on marketing activity and ROI, dynamically adjusting plan accordingly.
Promotion, organisation of and attendance at client events (often outside of office hours)
DM and database marketing/management
Working with the divisional leaders and CEO
Ensuring corporate digital, print and website collateral is kept up to date
Market research projects to identify new areas of opportunity
Co-ordinating promotional campaigns
Working with suppliers to promote new initiatives and offerings
Maintaining representation in the appropriate media


Key skills / attributes:
Graduate with previous experience in a similar marketing role
Creative thinker
Experience using a Mac
Experience in using Adobe Creative Suite for Mac (inc. preparing print ready artwork) and Microsoft office programs.
Experience in using a website Content Management System (Wordpress would be an advantage).
Experience in managing multiple social media accounts (Facebook/Twitter) to promote the services and respond to client activity in an appropriate manner.

Experience in using email marketing software, such as Mailchimp
Knowledge of Google Analytics, social media insights etc. and be able to create reports based on this.
Dynamic and driven - self-motivated with ability to work independently
Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time, often under pressure to tight deadlines.
Ability to interact with staff at all levels of a business.
Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
Excellent and accurate verbal and written communication
Experience in liaising and negotiating with suppliers, such as printers, media etc.

This is a temporary position between 6 - 12 months
