Our clients are a successful Law Firm and are currently looking for a Senior Facilities Assistant to join the Facilities Team at their Blackburn Office, with further travel to their other office locations across Lancashire, Manchester and Leeds. This is a full-time role, working 36.25 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am to 5pm. The purpose of this role will be to successfully plan, organise and deliver the maintenance and health and safety work to ensure the firm provides a safe and well-maintained working environments for all its staff, clients, contractors and other visitors.

The role will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes such as:

Directly support the Facilities Manager with planning and organising the delivery of maintenance and standard compliance tasks undertaken by the Facilities Team.
Completion of PAT testing across the Firm in both offices and home-working environments, with the completion of required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist Facilities Team colleagues with Stores related activities such as collection of confidential waste, file archiving, file destroying, moving of files to storage facilities.
Willingness to undertake such other duties commensurate with your position and hours as may reasonably be expected.
Contribute to the Firm’s successful compliance with its Health & Safety requirements by completing all required risk assessments and health and safety checks.
Advise colleagues on requests for office layout and equipment changes, rearrangements, or improvements.
Pro-actively assist with the logistical and practical work of facilities projects such as office moves, workspace improvement and estate planning etc.
Travel to all the Firms offices as required across the North-West, to undertake and complete required facilities and health and safety related work.
Ensure maintenance and compliance tasks are completed to a high standard in a timely manner to ensure the Firm is compliant with health and safety requirements and maintenance of its buildings, working environments and assets.
Undertaking inspection, basic maintenance, and refurbishment work across the Firm’s offices and working environments, both as a result of planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
