My clients are a refuse collection vehicle, gritter and hookloader manufacturer in need of a tender co-ordinator to respond to potential contracts. They are recruiting for an experienced Tender Coordinator to work within their vehicle sales team at their Chorley based Head Office. The sales team are responsible for seeking out and submitting bids and tenders for a number of potential contracts. The ideal candidate will be familiar with local authority tendering who is seeking to work with a fast growing medium sized main supplier. This is a hands-on position and the ideal candidate will be presentable, enthusiastic, self-motivated, well organised and display initiative with attention to detail and have excellent customer skills.

The successful candidate will be assisting the Sales Co-Ordinator with the coordination of the tender from start to finish (planning, writing and submitting), which are to be sent in on time to meet strict deadlines for the bid submission process.

Key responsibilities and experience will include:

* Source and identify tender / framework opportunities for the company via tender tracker providers and the European Journal and other sources where applicable.

* Request new tenders

* Compiling and delivering quotations to customers and in dealing effectively with the commercial office process.

* Co-ordination of specific tender documentation and managing the flow of required information

* Issuing and submitting of PQQ, tender and quotation documentation.

* Processing new vehicle orders, confirming specifications and issuing order confirmations.

* Sending out purchase orders

* Liaising with:-

o Supplier for quotation and sending out purchase order

o Sales team to ensure a competitive tender

o Production team regarding the vehicle builds and specification.

* Other adhoc duties

This is a full time permanent position and the hours of work are Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 16:30
