Successful Financial Services company based in Blackpool have a vacancy for a Risk & Business Continuity Manager to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

Apply knowledge and experience of risk management practices within Financial Services to take a lead role in enhancing and embedding risk management;

Update the operations Risk Action Log and ensure actions are completed;

Support the operation and maintenance of the risk register and process, including any associated documentation;

Support the business in the operation, analysis and resolution of risk events/incident management;

Co-ordinate the production and delivery of risk management information and relevant analysis for key stakeholders and committees;

Develop and manage relationships with management and senior stakeholders;

Design and deliver appropriate risk management training and workshops;

Challenge the business' risk register, risk assessments and the wider control environment to ensure that the risk profile is fully understood and reflected;

Review and maintain the operations Risk Management Framework;

Represent Risk and Compliance at relevant committees, projects and meetings ensuring that risk and control is appropriately considered;

Undertake ad-hoc projects and investigations as directed by the Risk and Compliance Manager;

Take responsibility for own development and ensuring that knowledge of risk management practices are up-to-date.

Working with the senior management team to develop and test robust departmental and organisational Business Continuity Plans (BCP)

Working with business stakeholders to develop effective working relationships and documented BCP plans

Establish and Chair meetings of the (to be created) Business Continuity Working Group/ Sub-committee of ARC

Facilitate and support the execution of the plans at the time of a BC/ DR invocation

Provide visibility and reporting to the Compliance & Risk Director, ARC and the wider business/ stakeholders on the critical components and readiness of the business plans, supporting processes and infrastructure.

Requirements

Experience of risk management practices within UK financial services in either an industry, regulator or professional services role;

Intermediate or advanced user of Microsoft Office software and in particular, Microsoft Excel;

Strong analytical and problem solving skills; and

Ability to travel to other offices, as required.

Ability to deliver simultaneous, time pressured tasks and prioritise effectively;

Confident and professional communicator;

Strong attention to detail and analytical approach;

Financial services business acumen and in particular, demonstrate an understanding of the consumer credit industry and challenges;

Ability to work independently, setting own priorities and taking a lead role; and

Honesty and integrity.
