My client is a forward thinking Plastics Injection Moulding organisation, and due to growth, they're seeking a methodical and organised Quality Engineer to join them.

The position will require patience and the need to follow procedures consistently and steadily, with determination to complete the task. An ability to maintain attention to detail when working under pressure, whilst continuing to analyse and solve problems is a must. Knowledge of engineering drawings and Microsoft Office programs and spreadsheets is essential along with excellent recording of data.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the main responsibilities of the position include:

Produce and maintain work instructions as required by the quality and production departments.

Work with the Quality Manager to produce departmental Key Process Indicators (KPIs).

Work closely with other company departments to evaluate risks associated with products and processes.

Perform measurements against product drawings, using a variety of equipment and methods.

Support the introduction of new products.

Maintain full records as required by internal and external quality standards.

Perform internal audits of the company's procedures.

Take part in 5S, Lean & Continuous Improvement exercises within the company.

The successful Quality Engineer will demonstrate:

Proficiency in mathematics and use of spreadsheets

Basic understanding of engineering drawings

Good standard of written and spoken English

Results orientated and able to work unsupervised in a fast-paced team environment.

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work well as part of a busy department

'A' level or equivalent qualification in Mathematics or Engineering (or QBE)

Experience of working within an ISO9001/IATF16949 certified environment is preferred, but not essential.

A full UK drivers licence required as there may be a requirement to visit customers.
