A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced part time Purchase Ledger/Accounts Assistant.

Working for an established company who are experiencing steady growth, you will be part of a small but busy finance team, and in time you will have the opportunity to progress and add new responsibilities to your role. Reporting to a Director, your duties will include:

Managing the entire purchase ledger function including:
Ensuring overheads are kept in check and monitoring overhead budgets monthly.
Processing expenses
Preparing the purchase ledger side of the VAT return
Sub-contractor tax
Liaising with both suppliers and customers in relation to any queries or discrepancies

Working with another established PT Accounts Assistant, you will be expected to learn (with full training provided) the Sales Ledger function, and when comfortable and in good time, be capable of producing full monthly management accounts and deputise for holidays etc for the established Senior Accounts person.

As well as experience of Sage, you will also have a good knowledge of Excel, and advanced IT skills will be a distinct advantage.

This role will provide a good level of autonomy and therefore requires a self-motivated individual to hit the ground running.

Although qualifications aren't essential, you will be able to show previous commitment to a career in an Accounts setting. The ideal candidate will want to stay long term and progress, and will get the opportunity to do so.
