My Client is an established and well known specialist Law firm with offices across the North West; now seeking to recruit a Nurse Analyst to join their Medical Negligence Department.

Upon successful application you will be based at either the Manchester or Southport office, receive an excellent salary £27,000-£30,000 and have access to a fantastic company benefits package.

You will provide high quality advice to aid our clients Legal Team, be a methodical thinker with the tenacity to deal with the varied and challenging scenarios, which may occur when providing reports on medical negligence claims. You will work closely with the rest of the nurse analyst team and ensure research is shared among your colleagues.

Essential Skills and Experience

-Previous experience and knowledge in the areas of Orthopaedics, Cardiology and Oncology

-Over 3 years' clinical experience as a Qualified Nurse

-Strong interpersonal and communication skills

-Strong attention to detail

-Analytical skills and a methodical approach

-Good IT skills, the ability to work in a paperless office (knowledge of Word & Foxit and Proclaim would be an advantage).

-Medical records handling

-Ability to consistently hit tight KPI/Target deadlines

Main Responsibilities

-Reviewing of medical records and any other documentation relevant to the case.

-Indexing of Medical records

-Preparation of issue based summaries and chronologies for instruction to experts on medical negligence cases with a good knowledge surrounding breach of duty and causation

-To assist Senior Solicitors with Risk Assessment reviews and provide their medical knowledge to help assist with the progression/rejection of a case

-Responding to ad-hoc queries as and when requested

-Researching medical conditions and standards of care with recognised evidenced research

-Calling clients advising status of case and gaining any further information to progress case

-Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards
