Our client, a leading local manufacturer operating on a worldwide basis, is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join their Sales and Marketing team.

A dependable and dynamic Manager with a proven track record of business-to-business and business-to-end user marketing that brings strategy to life, raising brand awareness, generating content and developing sales tools by all available modern methods whilst meeting the demands of a fast-moving NPD agenda, this appointment will ideally have European language skills, with French being highly desirable.

Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the Marketing Manager will work on marketing campaigns, both with UK and international remit, developing and driving adherence to brand guidelines, managing product launches, and helping to strategise and execute the global marketing plan. Specifications/technical sheets/case studies/database mailing list management work is also undertaken, along with responsibility for the development and execution of marketing activities in the UK, with the objective to make them transferable and relevant internationally, and vice versa.

The Marketing Manager will work towards raising brand awareness and share of market in line with the company vision and values, establish plans and initiatives to bring proximity with the customer base through a product solution led strategy and contribute to the development of content, training and educational programs for distributors and staff.

The role involves regular engagement with the company's French office marketeer, international distributors and meetings with marketing service providers.

It will also involve identifying potential new marketing mechanics and introducing our new products to new markets and distributors.

Marketing activity will also include webpage design, intranet development, social media, e-communication, press releases, exhibitions, networking etc.

Some travel to International markets, particularly France will be required, as will attendance at sales meetings and provision of information to the directors/managers.

Responsibilities of the position include:

* Regular communication with Sales team, R&D team, other Managers & Marketing colleagues.

* Develop and deliver annual print, digital and social media plan.

* Exhibition organisation and efficacy assessment.

* Contribute to marketing strategy and develop marketing plan for the market(s) that ensures the attainment of brand awareness and increased market share.

* To write content, press releases and to improve share of voice in industry and consumer forums.

* Monitor distributor marketing patterns working with the sales function in adhering and amplifying the company brand message.

* Initiates and coordinates development of marketing aids to penetrate new markets and build existing ones with new and current products.

* To establish and maintain brand guidelines.

* To present a good image of the products and the Company.

* To be aware of competitor activity - their marketing strategy, strength and weaknesses.

* To develop sound product and market knowledge.

* Manage an in-house team of multimedia and graphics designers.

* Manage A&P budget.

* Prepare presentations for customers and for sales and management meetings.
