Our client, a leading Manchester based law firm has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Marketing Assistant to join their busy marketing department.

Assisting the Head of Marketing, the successful candidate will assist with the implementation of the firm's business development strategy.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

Supporting the Business Development Consultant, Marketing Executive and Marketing Committee as required

Producing agenda, action points and reminders for all marketing meetings

Website update and maintaining fresh content across the website, assisting in ongoing website strategy and SEO implementation and coordinating web enquiries

Assisting in development of social media strategy including identifying and drafting relevant content and monitoring departmental activity and engagement

Coordinate Networking events including identifying relevant networking events and arranging for colleagues

Data Management including monitoring and recording referrals out and between departments

Producing reporting packs as required for committee, departmental and partner meetings

Organisation of internal and external events including arranging and coordinating of client entertainment and external and internal events

Providing practical and logistical support at in-house events

Supporting sponsorship contracts

Draft, design and distribute monthly internal newsletter and bimonthly external newsletter

Draft press releases, maintain media relationships and report on coverage

Support the Marketing Executive in coordinating annual industry sector submissions

Coordinating client feedback scores and reporting

Working with an external designer to produce marketing materials and adverts

Providing internal training and inductions on marketing processes

The successful candidate must demonstrate experience of:

Particular expertise in social media and online marketing

Excellent IT skills

An enthusiastic, positive attitude to tasks given and happy to get 'stuck in'

Self motivation with solid judgement and the ability to move forward with the task at hand and understand when to refer to others

Ensuring the smooth running of the department when Marketing Executive is out of office

Drafting different styles of marketing content, including press releases and ad copy

Experience of working in an office environment

Experience of working with databases/data management or CRM

Although not essential previous marketing experience within a professional services environment would be advantageous.
