My Client based in Preston is looking to appoint a 2 x Machine Operator on Night Shift.
The purpose of a Machine Operator is to set up, operate and dismantle the press and to perform functional quality tests to ensure the machine is producing as it should.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* To keep presses operating efficiently in order to print a wide variety of self-adhesive labels in a busy manufacturing environment while adhering to all quality and safety standards. Covering within various departments including Packing, Wristband Assembly and Pre-Press.
* Performs appropriate functional quality tests for operations performed on all equipment
* Complies with all required safety practices and regulations
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY'S
* To rewind wristbands into finished product.
* Consistently achieve productivity targets
* Maintain optimum quality at all times
* Complete accurate job records - time recording
* Maintain optimum Health and Safety standards and keep press and work area clean at all times
* Testing and verification of finished components.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Experience of operating production machinery
* Experience of working on a production environment to high quality standards and meeting targets and deadlines
* General computer skills and numerical skills
* Ability to use initiative with excellent problem-solving skills
* Flexible approach with the ability to follow detailed instructions

This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday the hours of work are Sunday to Thursday 10.15pm till 6.15am, however while in training this will be a day shift Monday to Friday 8-4.
Salary is dependent on experience ranging from £18,700 up to £22,171 PA
