My clients are a family run business with 75 years experience in their field. As a business they are growing rapidly and with continued investment into exciting expansion plans they are set for continued growth over the next 5 years.

They are currently looking for a Logistics Coordinator. This is an office based role, shared between the Shipping and Warehouse function, the Logistics Coordinator will work closely with these departments at different periods of the year to support various day to date operations. Planning and executing the daily tasks, as well as specific responsibilities. A basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse operations would be an advantage.

Ideally would suit someone from a shipping / warehouse background, although full training will be given for the right candidate.

General and Task Management:
To successfully operate shared mailbox’s ensuring emails are flagged and actioned appropriately
Ensure container bookings are made for all FOB and Domestic orders within the correct time frame
Navigate and understand various data reports from our suppliers provided to the company
Work with various forwarding companied to obtain up to date costings
Run, check and chase all shipment status reports ready for distribution
Aid in the checking and collating of various shipping documents to ensure payment is received on time
Process daily orders with customers logistics teams
Planning the transportation of customers orders using multiple hauliers
Analyse orders to determine assembly departments workload
Ensure the accuracy of all documentation relating to goods in and goods out including export documentation
Supporting Warehouse Manager on ensuring health and safety meets the required standards and risk assessments are being carried out
Have experience in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
The ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively with an eye for detail.

People Management
Communicate with warehouse staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets and operational requirements.
Communicate with all internal departments both in UK and overseas where necessary to provide updates on orders and to resolve cross-department issues.

The hours are Monday to Friday 9 – 5 with 28 days holiday plus bank holidays.
