Our client, a long-established legal practice located in Skipton are currently seeking to appoint a full time Head of HR

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a reputable practice, where you will work in a supportive and friendly environment.

The Head of HR will work across 6 sites so there could be some flexibility on where you would be based,

The role:

This is a senior management position and you will be part of the Management Board and work closely with the Management Team, Director of Operations, and the Managing Director. Experience of working with law firm or other professional service organisation may be an advantage but is not essential. Out of sector experience might be welcome. You will be encouraged to contribute to the development of future business strategy.

About you:

Essential

Experience and/or qualifications in:

HR for at least 5 years and in organisations of circa 60 employees

developing, delivering, and review of training and career development

performance review

recruitment and staff retention

creating strong positive and inclusive culture across a business

excellent verbal and written communication skills (basic competence with Word and Outlook)

Well organised, able to prioritise and with good attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines

Commercially aware, conscientious, and responsible

Team player with positive 'can do' attitude

Confident, assertive, and able to deal with challenge and conflict

Clean driving licence

Desired

Experience of working across multiple sites

Experience of contributing to people strategy and managing change

Very strong IT skills (including Word/Excel/Outlook/Proclaim)

Track record of leading and developing a team and mentoring junior colleagues

Leadership qualities and ability and desire to successfully grow our business
