Our client, one of the longest established and highly regarded financial planning companies in the UK, has an opportunity for an Estate Planner to join their team.

An office based position, the successful Estate Planner will advise customers on the estate planning options open to them, utilising Wills, Trusts & LPAs, based on their individual circumstances (personal and financial) and legacy objectives (conduct a Fact Find)

The main responsibilities of the position will include:

Making outbound calls to referrals and leads from various sources including Equity Release Advisors, the lead generation team, inbound calls from direct response marketing campaigns and website / on-line activity.

Converting the recommendation into a sale, taking either an 'Instant Payment' by debit / credit card or, if they want to pay directly from their Equity Release loan, sending out the appropriate documents.

Taking instruction (either instantly or via an agreed call-back time), gathering all the information needed to draft the Will, Trust and LPAs, using this as an opportunity to discuss the benefit or need for a professional Executor (primary or substitute) and, when appropriate, Trustee or Attorney (where the customer can't fall-back on any relatives or friends).

Introducing the benefits of the company Document Storage and funeral plan services, and cross-sell where appropriate.

Achieving weekly / monthly sales targets & KPIs by

The ideal Estate Planner will demonstrate

Estate planning and / or will-writing background, with the ability to take a customer from fact find to instruction (not necessarily draft Wills)

Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver challenging sales targets

Proven consultative telephone or face-to-face sales experience

Proven track record in sales and lead conversion

Strong understanding of exceptional customer service and consumer engagement techniques and ability to demonstrate application of knowledge

Proven ability to communicate with senior key stakeholders both internally and externally

Exceptional interpersonal and accuracy skills

Proven ability to deal calmly and professionally with challenging situations

Excellent organisational, time management and administrative skills

Competent software skills

The ability to work in a highly pressurised environment that is subject to continuous change

Credibility and integrity

Estate planning qualification is desirable but not essential
