Are you a fully experienced Credit Controller with a minimum of 5 years' experience looking for your next challenge?

My clients based in Chorley are looking for an experienced credit controller, with export knowledge to work in their very friendly, but busy office, and take full control of, balance, manage and report on the Debtors Ledger. This position will involve working with a wide and varied range of customers, from blue chip companies to sole traders, so you must have the ability to liaise with people at all levels, and have the ability to take decisions for the benefit of both the customer and the company. You will be solely responsible for raising invoices and credit notes, taking payments and balancing the debtors ledger. Knowledge of the export market is required as they have an International base of customers which is growing rapidly, and so a good understanding of the support documentation required is necessary. You will also be required to undertake other general duties including assisting with the sales office team and other staff as and when required.

Specific Job Duties:

Create, print and allocate invoices daily.

Create, print and allocate credit notes.

Enter and allocate all receipts onto Ledger.

Manage receipts from PDQ machine, and balance daily.

Balance daily receipts to ledger, and reconcile to bank.

Print off statements at month-end.

Print off and manage debt collection letters.

Placing, removing and managing customers on stop.

Updating and reconciling customer based accounts website.

Produce dispatch documentation for export customers

Actively chase problematic customers with payment issues.

Opening new accounts and manage credit limits for customers.

Working to set KPi's on debt collection day's and cash collection targets.

Discuss account queries with customers.

Liaise with area sales representatives on customer issues.

General ad-hoc duties as and when required.

To be considered for this role you must:

Be available for a quick start

Be fully Experienced Credit Controller with minimum 5 years proven history.

Have good knowledge of Export Market and supporting documentation

Have the ability to work with minimum supervision, and must be an active team member.

Have a professional and friendly telephone manner.

Working hours Monday-Friday 8.30am to 5pm, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
