My client is a successful Construction Company who continually strive to be at the forefront of their Industry. They are a regional contractor with many years experience of working on projects from £750,000.00 through £5M projects and currently have a vacancy for a Contracts Manager.

They operate under a number of Framework Agreements carrying out Partnered Projects for the Public and Private Sector, principally focusing on the Education, NHS, Commercial & Leisure Sectors of the Industry, principally focusing on the Education, NHS, Commercial & Leisure Sectors of the Industry.

They are currently looking to expand their team by recruiting a Contracts Manager.


Plan projects and ensure they are programmed to a level of detail for the site manager/operatives to deliver the scheme without delays

Ensure the site team compliance with Company commercial policies and procedures

Attend tender handover meetings and deliver pre start meeting to the site team

Produce and analyse progress reports, updated costs and forecasts

Chair and attend internal and external meetings and ensure the production of accurate records of any discussions and actions

Ensure weekly review of progress, budget resources and forward planning are carried out, and lookahead programmes are in place.

Ensure effective Health & Safety

Organising directly employed labour and encouraging maximum productivity.

Liaising with architects, surveyors and clients.

Experience and Qualifications:

Relevant experience in education, commercial and refurbishment projects with values between £750k to £5m

Experience in both the management of Traditional & D&B Contracts.

Experience of working for a principal contractor.

Experience of Pre-Qualification and Tendering Process for a number of multi discipline projects

Good working knowledge of contract conditions, regulations, risk management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting


First Aid Training

Excellent people management skills with the ability to influence and mentor.
