Clayton Nursing is currently assisting in the recruitment of a Nurse Qualified Clinical Lead RGN / RMN to take up post in our clients Large Nursing Home based in Epsom, Surrey. The home is owned by a small, highly reputable provider with several homes located across the South

Upon successful application you will benefit from a generous salary, of £19ph, over 42 hrs.

Benefits include an additional £1.20ph overtime rate, a discretionary 3 month bonus (This could be equivalent to 3 times weekly contracted hours), discounted staff meals, pension - currently 1% - due to increase with Government Legislation (can opt-out) , 5.6 weeks holiday (including statutory holidays) and extensive training and development

This is a hand-on nursing role with additional responsibilities to support the manager in ensuring the sustainability of high quality, person centred care within the home. Including monitoring the performance of other nursing staff, team leaders and care staff. Whilst ensuring compliance with relevant professional, regulatory and contractual requirements.

As the Clinical Lead you will:

-Ensure effective person centred care is delivered at all times, maintaining the highest standards of care & support to people who live within the home

-Taking responsibility for the performance monitoring of nursing staff, including supervisions and appraisals.

-Ensure each person living in the home has an up to date support plan which details the interventions needed to secure positive outcomes.

-Actively manage end of life care, ensuring peoples wishes and beliefs are respected at all times.

-Provide professional leadership for nurses and care staff ensuring the maintenance of clinical excellence.

-Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care at an advanced level, in an ever-changing environment

-Develop a culture of learning by mentoring, supervising and teaching registered and unregistered staff and students

To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following;

-You will be a qualified nurse with an up to date and active NMC registration/ pin

-Have a minimum of 12 months experience of working in a nursing home environment as a Senior Nurse

-A genuine passion for working with the elderly
