My clients have a new opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their existing team, based in Blackburn but covering the UK and dealing with aerospace, defence, telecoms, test & measurement and medical sectors.

The role will include:

Review, investigate, qualify, and develop new Sales opportunities for the company through appropriate proposition and ethical Sales methods, and in line with long term business strategy. Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets.
Raise the Company profile and increase turnover of the product range(s). Build market position and increase market share by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships and sales opportunities.
Achieve targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth.

To be considered for this role you must have:

Proven track record of building new business and achieving Sales targets.
Customer focused with strong interpersonal, influencing, and customer service skills.
Driven, enthusiastic, persuasive, encouraging, confident and both motivating.to others, and self-motivated.
A positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities.
Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
Be physically able to travel internationally and participate in training sessions, presentations, and on-site meetings

Education and/or Experience
Relevant HND/Degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering would be advantageous.
Technical competence of and a proven track record of selling RF and Microwave products is desirable.
A minimum of 2 years¿ direct experience in a business development role, including all aspects of sales development and execution
