My client, a highly regarded and successful firm of Chartered Accountants is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join their team. Although based in South Lancashire, the firm are at the forefront of technology and with their implementation of agile working consideration is given to candidates looking for an element of home-based working.

Working within the Corporate Services team, the purpose of the role is to deliver the highest quality audit services to a range of clients. Reporting directly to a Partner, specific duties include but are not limited to: -

  • Full preparation of audit assignments including accounts, tax and briefing notes.
  • Supervision of the audit process, giving clear instructions to staff on the assignments, ensuring they are suitably trained and supervised.
  • Ensuring all compliance work is planned and in place in a timely manner for the audit and deadlines are met
  • Collation of all audit raw data and summarised into a suitable format for review
  • Highlight any issues in order that the Partner may discuss with the client
  • Review of WIP and fee budgets on a monthly basis, reporting any variances to the Partner
  • Arrange and undertake pre-completion meetings with Managers / Partners / Clients in a timely manner
  • Provide feedback to audit staff after the completion of the assignment and identify where staff members may need support and further training.
