An exciting opportunity has arisen our client is seeking an inspirational and driven Assistant Manager for their award winning hotel.

This position would suit someone who is hungry to take on a new challenge and who takes pride in providing a high quality service for their guests

The purpose of the role is to facilitate the smooth running of this 1st class hotel and it's leisure facilities and restaurant.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Hotel Manager to carry out a variety of duties, strive to continuously improve the guest experience and operational effectiveness of the department in order to enhance sales and service, manage spend and control costs to ensure a profitable operation.

The successful candidate should ideally be able to demonstrate significant expertise of operating in a busy sales and customer focused environment in a Management capacity; a knowledge which is likely to have been acquired within a similar position in the Hotel and or Leisure Industry working at a 4 star level or above. A recognised CIEH Food safety qualification or equivalent, to Level 3 standard, along with a British Institute on Inn Keeping Qualification including minimum level 2 WSET.

Proven team management skills are essential for this role together with the ability to motivate and develop team members to exceed customer expectations.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate:

Strong leadership qualities with an excellent Food and Beverage background in a fine dining, Michelin or rosette establishments

Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills, with the ability to set priorities for self and others and the ability to work under pressure and to manage a diverse workload with competing priorities

Sales projections and profit achievement together with business acumen

High attention to detail and a passion for achieving high standards

A strong knowledge of Health and Safety Compliance, in line with Company policies and procedures.

The position is full time: 5 days from 7. The normal hours of work are 45 per week.
