Working as an integral member of the Administration Team and reporting directly to the Practice Director, my client, a leading law firm in the city centre is seeking an Administrator to assist them in supporting the firm's activities.

As the Administrator you will be expected to act as part of the administration team, and as such the role may occasionally be altered to help others complete their duties, so you must be versatile in your approach.

The role is a proactive one which requires self-motivation, enthusiasm, eagerness, good organisational skills and determination to get the job done right first time.

The successful Administrator will cover the hours 9.45am - 6.00pm, and will be responsible for:

* Filing for Clinical Negligence and Court Of Protection department on a day-to-day basis

* Photocopying documents for all departments

* By-hand deliveries, collections and errands to include daily banking and/or post office, court, chambers and other solicitors within the city centre

* Assist with the monitoring of stationery stock levels. Replenish shelves, ensuring stock levels do not run dry. Maintain stationery cupboards in a neat and tidy condition with ease of access to stock at all times

* Monitoring office equipment regularly and report any defects to the Practice Director

* Replenish paper within photo-copiers, faxes and other printers regularly ensuring paper levels do not run dry. Replenish staples and toner within the photocopiers as well as ensuring all staplers in the office for general use are maintained and stocked with staples

* Providing cover for reception, answering calls, meeting and greeting visitors as and when required

* Frank/stamp outgoing mail ensuring the correct postage/DX stamps are applied to ensure timely delivery. Update the franking machine with postage levels and ensure an adequate supply of postage stamps of all denominations is maintained

* Distribute incoming faxes in accordance with the firm's procedure, ensuring a board member has sight of them in the first instance

* Office and Board Room housekeeping; ensuring offices are kept tidy and free from clutter/rubbish, including moving boxes, files etc and clearing away boardrooms after meetings

* Replenish stocks of tea, coffee and sugar in the kitchen and Boardrooms. Clear away cups and other pots left on desks, fill dishwasher and ensure the kitchen is kept clean and tidy at all times

* Aid the archiving process along with Accounts department

* General secretarial, typing and PC work as and when required

* Assist with Health and Safety compliance

* Be willing to undertake additional training in all aspects of the firm's work as and when required

* Be prepared to carry out any other reasonable management request to facilitate the smooth running and development of the firm

The right candidate would also have the potential to develop their role further and progress throughout their time with the firm.
