My client are a small Building Society and have a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant for a 12 month contract maternity leave.

The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records and financial information.

To assist in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts, key performance MI and the Annual Report and Accounts.

To support the Society's overall strategic aims and objectives.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

Provide support as required to the Management Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts

Assist in the prep of working papers and reconciliations in the Annual Report and Accounts and Summary Financial Statements

Regulatory Reporting

Budget Reporting

Provide support as required to the Management Accountant in the prep of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc Board/Committee reports

Treasury Back Office Support

Purchase Ledger

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar role, and ideally hold an AAT qualification or equivalent.
